9:00 AM: Welcome to the second day of the 2023 edition of Paysalia! 👩🌾
And if you miss any of today's conferences, visit our website for the replays!
10:00 AM: Biodiversity is a central theme in the concerns of the landscaping sector! 🌱
Within Paysalia, there is a dedicated space for solutions that address environmental challenges: plant palette, soil renaturation, water-saving techniques, evolving management practices... So that every stakeholder can draw inspiration and together, we can create a more resilient society! 🌳
Thanks to our partners ARTHROPOLOGIA, Plante & Cité, Unep - Les Entreprises du Paysage, A-IGÉco, Union régionale des CAUE Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, ASTREDHOR - Institut des professionnels du végétal!
2:00 PM: Today is a big day for the 72 students in landscaping, horticultural production, and sales who are testing their knowledge and competing in the 2023 National Plant Recognition Contest Finals! 🌱
This competition is organized by our partner VALHOR.
4:00 PM: 💼🌱 Employment and training in the landscaping sector are key themes at Paysalia!
Spread across France, landscaping experts have few opportunities to collectively reflect on the challenges of enhancing and making their sector more attractive.
Every two years, the Paysalia exhibition provides these professionals, as well as students and individuals undergoing career transitions, the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas among enthusiasts.
In the 2023 edition, this is manifested by:
📌 The employment & training village, bringing together numerous partners and companies dedicated to advising and guiding students and individuals in career transitions.
📌 The integration of students into the Carré des Jardiniers competition to allow them to grow alongside experienced professionals. Each finalist team must include a student in training, and several students form a jury responsible for awarding a special prize.
📌 The finals of the national plant recognition contest, organized by VALHOR, are hosted today at Paysalia. A key event for students and professionals who are also invited to challenge their knowledge.
📌 A series of conferences and workshops, the best way to open a dialogue around the sector's fundamental topics, such as employment and training dynamics, as well as news and innovations related to landscaping professions in France and internationally, organized in collaboration with Unep - Les Entreprises du Paysage.
6:00 PM: The finals of the Carré des Jardiniers competition were hosted at the Paysalia exhibition!
Designing and creating a 200m² ephemeral garden in December, within 4 days, inside Eurexpo Lyon based on a theme set by a professional jury – that's the challenge successfully met by our four finalists!
You can still discover their gardens tomorrow!
Congratulations to Antoine de Lavalette, who was crowned Master Gardener of this 2023 edition this afternoon, as well as to Vincent GRUNEWALD, Matthieu Carla, and Simon Freitag for their extraordinary creations! 🤩
Matthieu Carla, in particular, won the trophy for the jury's student favorite! Congratulations to him, and thanks to the students for participating in this edition of the competition!
